St. Mary’s jungle

I was busy with the pupils of St.Mary’s school in Templemore this spring when we designed a jungle scene for their playground. The pupils dazzled me with their creativity, imagination and eagerness to learn. Here are some photos of the process.

Beautifying the facade of a derelict building

I am lucky to be involved with the Templetuohy Tidy Village Group. Last summer we decided to give this derelict building a face lift with a 1950's vibe.

I made this piece to merge the colours of the room. It is created using leaves and old earrings. 

A dance with the fairies

                                     I am lucky to call Fairy Ash my friend, so when she

                                               asked me to submit a piece for the 

                             Templemore Fairy Trail Exhibition in the Templemore Library
                                   I was delighted to get a chance to frolic with the fairies.

Bottle Cap Mural

Templetuohy Tidy Villages worked with Templetuohy National School to produce this Bottle Cap Mural to show how the children of Templetuohy can reduce, reuse and recycle. 

Vamped up Cushion

 

I loved revamping  this cushion. It’s a quote from Doug Stone’s song ‘Little Houses’ which I thought was apt for our house. 

Backdrops for school plays

I had great fun with the kids of Templetuohy National School,
  creating a Nativity scene for their Christmas play.
All the children took it in turns to come in and paint their bit. 

Height Chart Ruler

The kids can track their height as they grow and see
 how quick they are catching up with Mammy and Daddy.
 The height markings for Mammy and Daddy are taken from Mary Poppins.

Bottle Top Mural

I had a wonderful day working with the kids of Castleiney School
to produce the bottle cap mural for their Green Schools project.
